Take Back the Night was started in the 1970's to end domestic violence and sexual assault in all forms through a march, vigil or rally. We have hosted this event since 2018 at the Grant campus of Suffolk County Community College. Each April, during sexual assault awareness month, the college and local community join to participate in this national prevention and education program that provides a space for sharing internal and external resources and for renewing our college's commitment to survivors of domestic violence, dating violence and sexual assault. We are grateful to the hundreds of students, faculty, staff, and community members who have supported this event each year.

This year's march will take place on Thursday, April 9 at 7 p.m. at the Michael J. Grant Campus and is rain or shine.

In 2022, the Take Back the Night scholarship was founded at Suffolk County Community College by Debra Sullivan and Danielle DiMauro for students impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault. A portion of the sales will go towards this scholarship.

Production on all of apparel items will begin approximately ten days from date of order. Please allow 3-5 weeks from production date for shipping.
